The finals of The National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain 2009 found bands in all five sections grappling with some pretty tough challenges so all the winners can congratulate themselves on their achievements. All of the winning performances are included on this release.
During the interval between the end of the Championship Section contest and the announcement of the results, the audience at the Royal Albert Hall was entertained by a short concert given by Cory Band, highlights of which are interspersed on this disc with the test-piece performances.
