In this unique CD project, Keith Muggeridge presents a selection of works featuring the
baritone horn joined by a number of special guests, including Paul Haigh, Sheona White, Steven Mead and Peter Christian, to raise funds to support Thames Valley Air Ambulance Service.
The title track, Philip Wilby’s Flight, is given a fully committed rendition from Keith, from the unaccompanied opening to the intricate, exciting detail to follow. The character of Napoli is captured so effectively, whilst Share My Yoke and Carrickfergus bring forth delightful warmth of tone and smooth phrasing for the listener to enjoy.
This is a wonderfully admirable project, documenting Keith’s recovery process, featuring the often-underappreciated voice of the baritone horn as a solo voice, and revealing the very best of human nature - everyone rallying behind a good friend in aid of an extremely worthwhile cause.
