Håkan Björkman is Principal Trombone of the Royal Swedish Opera Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. He performs regulary as a soloist, for instance with Östgöta Symphonic Wind Orchestra, The Marine Band, Sundsvall Chamber Orchestra and Stockholm Symphonic Wind Orchestra with which he has made a solo CD. Håkan is also Principal Trombone of Stockholm Brass Band who accompany him on this his latest solo CD. Håkan has a habit of winning competitions, the latest of which was in 2008 when he won the second Christian Lindberg International Solo Competition in Valencia.
